I have a 1999 Bullet 500 which was in storage for 8yrs.. when i parked it i just squirted a little oil in the cylinder and that's it. Charged the battery, took the plug out and kicked it 5 or 6 times with the oil line at the rocker arms loosened, got oil up there, tightened the banjo bolt, put the plug back in and splashed 2 litres of gasoline into the tank and gave it 4 or 5 kicks and away it went. Smoked and popped a few times and settled down to a nice idle..Now i just need to go to the LTO and see how much they are going to hose me for not registering it for 8 yrs.. These are tough motorcycles, low tech and easy to repair..
